multiple categories

We are now testing the multiple categories function. What kind of post could possibly incorporate Science, Sports, and Web/Tech?

photos

Now I want a photo album on my website.

Problem: I never take any photos!!

But it's fun to have a photo album.

Hmmm. I could almost make a journal entry out of this photo album. <snicker>

no recent comments

Didn't even notice until K posted it as a bug - but the recent comments aren't showing up in the sidebar.

All I can say is that as much as I envy Ben and Mena - I'm glad I'm not them right now. Heh.

columns schmolumns

These layouts need work - or else, I need a bigger monitor. The right column is at the bottom of the screen. How do I fix that?? Hmmmmm.

depressed now

Seeing that picture over there is depressing me. It's only about a year old, but I feel like I look way tired now compared to that. Yuck. This is what working for a living does to a person???

I went into the bathroom to compare my hair to the hair there and saw gray all over the top!! Egads!! What the fuck is happening to me?? Wahhhhhhh!!!!!

I don't want to get old, I really, really don't. =(

Why won't new entries/changed entries show up on weblog?

For some reason, post number 2 just will not display on my weblog - also, changes made to post number 1 won't show up either.

I feel extraordinarily stupid at the moment.

mysql queries

I just managed to write my first MySQL/PHP query for MT - the PHP part was shamelessly adapted from the one Brenna used for the Comment Leaders tip, but hey, my main focus was on the query itself.

This may seem like no big deal to some of the other experts out there, but I've not really put myself to the task of learning this stuff, and I really need to if I'm going to be an actual contributor at Virtual Venus, instead of the silent partner. Heh.

Edit Um - I must be an idiot? I posted a second entry as PUBLISH NOW, and the default to display is 10 posts - but this one is the only one that will show up.

Note that I added a new category to my blog for the second post - is that the problem?

things I've noticed

1. The "link" button - I guess I should have used this in MT to know how it works, but when I click it to make a link, the screen jumps around (I guess it moves back to the top??)

2. View Weblog - should open in a new window (yeah, I hate them, but when you're managing the blog, you probably don't want to view the site in the same window).

3. Uhhhhh - when you update an entry, the date gets updated, and it becomes a more recent entry than it was before? Do I like that????
